Parent Education
About Us
Our adult classes are funded by Kings Canyon School District. Classes have been offered since spring of 2000. Our program was created to reach out to our growing Latino community. Classes provide free instruction to our parents and other members of the community who pledge to provide personal tutoring to their children.
Our Mission
Our mission is not only to teach English but to provide our parents with many resources from the the community so that they feel welcome to a new country. In addition we want to empower them with different programs like the Latino Literacy Project, women's support groups, parenting classes, computer classes and citizenship classes. We provide presenters according to the parents needs in the community. We believe parents are the first educators and it is really important for parents to be a role model for their children and to instill in them the value of education.
